I am a fanatic on health issues, I am very outspoken on
this issue, and I believe I have the right to be. In under three
years, I have spent over $12,000 on the health of two Chinese Cresteds,
in both cases if the so called 'responsible breeders' had not
(a) Withheld information known to them
(b) Tested their dogs FULLY with OFA and not taken the
word of their vets
Should a breeder ever say, I don't' have any problems
in my lines - don't walk away
and run a long way away from them.
The best breeders will be honest about the faults in their
lines, and wont try to hide it.
I suggest (and remember, I have been burnt!)
the following:
Check the Worldwide Registry of Chinese Cresteds, anyone
who is anyone will list their dogs here .
From there then go to this CC health
database , this is a registry of people who have proven health
certificates on their dogs (they don't just talk the talk).
From there check out the following sites and search the
information you require.
